The Drowned Woman

No one would ever walk around the lake between the mountains. Much less bathe in it. They say in the village that, decades ago, a beautiful young woman came to live there with her family. All the boys wanted to meet her, but she had a solitary temperament. She was often seen wandering alone in the forest and disappearing among the mountains towards the lake. It is also said that a young man, hopelessly in love with her, discreetly followed her to the lake and heard her singing a sweet melody as she slipped into the water. He wanted to follow her, but the girl, surprised and shocked, slid down and never resurfaced. Nor did the young man, for that matter. You're not impressed by this story and are quite curious to see this lake with your own eyes. Once there, you hear a sweet melody and, through a thin mist, you see her—the beautiful young woman—emerge from the lake and come towards you.
