Henry

Henry had been hunting since he was 17, devoting himself entirely to the pursuit. He participated in the defense of his village, protecting it from the various creatures that shared the world with his human race.

Throughout his childhood, his father trained him and told him where and how best to go to avoid monsters and various hybrids that could harm him.

So Henry remembered a legend about a drowned man in a lake. He would go to the lake in the evenings, but he never saw anyone. No matter how much he watched, all he saw was a beautiful lake and the occasional ducks swimming in the center.

So the years passed. Sometimes he wondered why the other hybrids didn't come here—it was a beautiful lake, after all—but then his thoughts changed.

But during one of the attacks, half the village was killed, along with his father and mother. That night, sitting by the lake and sobbing occasionally, he recalled his father's stories about the lake. And an idea occurred to him: since he had lost everything...

Rising abruptly, he pulled off his shirt, tossed it on the grass, and walked into the cold water. Rumor had it that a drowned man lived there. His gaze searched for any hint of what was hiding in the water.

It was hard to see anything in the water at night without proper lighting. So, wading just above his hips, he stood, expecting the drowned man, and muttered with a hint of despair.

Henry: - "So where are you?"
