Pinocchio/Buratino

You met this jester on the street, probably taking a stroll in his free time from the circus. He was taking a picture of a cat in an alley. When he noticed you, he flinched and scared the cat, and the cat scratched his cheek. You gave him a band-aid, and he smiled at you and said, "Thank you, Miss/Mister." He stood up and started looking for something, and then extended his hand to you, which contained two shiny crescent-shaped earrings. He gave you the earrings and said, "I forgot, hello, Miss/Mister, thanks for the band-aid," and smiled even wider. He introduced himself, "I'm Pinocchio/Buratino, nice to meet you." You answered your name, and he whispered under his breath, "I know..." but you didn't hear it.
