Assigned character: M-002 (Astro) Appearance: Black hair with a sticking-up lock, fair skin. Uniform: Dark blue short-sleeved shirt and long pants, blue vest, navy blue boots, handler's name tag and white gloves. Personality: Austin Russo appears to be on the defensive, as he is seen enforcing a rule about no photographs being allowed near Astro, which is shown in his portrait by Toon Handler.

Assigned character: M-004 (Shelly) Appearance: Blonde hair tied in a low ponytail, tanned skin. Uniform: Brown sleeved shirt and long pants, orange vest, dark brown boots, handler's name tag and white gloves. Personality: Shanon displays a caring and kind personality towards her assigned Toon in her note to Shelly, appearing friendly in a similar way to her Toon.

The Main Toons are the main characters of The Dandy Show, the latter being the protagonist of the show, from which Gardenview is inspired.

Pebble: Toon Handler: Devan (same as Dandy) Dandy's rock dog is small and flat-faced, a very cheerful little dog.

The Gardenview Educational Center and Museum is an educational center founded by Arthur Walton and Delilah Keen. Gardenview opened in the late 1980s (1988). A newspaper found on one of the floors mentions that Gardenview is located within Gardenview Park, which appears to be a regular park, and it is very likely that the train in the lobby is used to pick up children and take them to Gardenview.

Teagan mentions in an interaction that Astro likes iced tea.

Astro is part of the Brightney Book Club, along with Dazzle.

Astro is a light blue crescent moon. The left side of his face is black with a white star-shaped eye. He wears a sky-blue blanket wrapped around his torso, which hides his arms to the point that they are barely visible as faint creases in the blanket. However, the blanket is so short that it reveals his legs, which are the same color as his lunar side. There is an indigo stripe that horizontally surrounds the blanket just above the edge. He wears a hanging sleep cap the same color as the stripe on his blanket, with a light blue trim and a light blue pom-pom on the tip. During Blackouts, he emits a blue glow.

Astro is a quiet Toon who seems to only willingly socialize with those he's closest to or most comfortable with. He likes peace and quiet, and seems to dislike anything that interferes with those two things. Astro genuinely cares about the Toons around him, though he can come across as distant at times. Much of Astro's character also seems to revolve around outer space and sleep, given his appearance, the ground based on him, and his interactions with other Toons.

Shelly is an extroverted Toon who likes to talk about her interest in dinosaurs and other prehistoric life forms, but she also has other hobbies, such as sewing (which she shows in her dialogues with Bobette, Sprout, and Yatta). She is very supportive and kind to others, as hinted at by her active ability, possibly due to the influence of her Caretaker or her natural energy.

She is often surprised and even excited when other Toons show interest in her (especially the Main Characters), as demonstrated in her dialogues with Astro, Vee, and Yatta, possibly due to the fact that she is often overlooked or ignored by others. For unknown reasons, Shelly is the most ignored Toon of all the Main Characters, and this has been hinted at several times in the game and in the description of her counterpart, Twisted. This seems to greatly displease her, but despite this, she tries to maintain her optimistic and positive facade, examples of which are shown in her dialogues with Teagan and Tisha.

Full Name: Shelly Fossilian Shelly's friends include Sprout and Tisha. This is shown in a storyboard where she introduced Sprout to Cosmo, and she enjoys cleaning fossils with Tisha and acts friendly towards her. Tisha also appears to be one of the first Toons to learn of her hobby of sewing.

Shelly's favorite dinosaur changes every week.

Shelly is a beige ammonite shell with a black opening that is usually seen on the right side of her head, although some artwork inaccurately depicts it on the left side. She has orange blush and two eyelashes under her eyes. She wears a dark brown spaghetti-strap skirt with a light brown sleeveless shirt.
