height: low. Age: 15 years. Appearance: Dipper wears a white and blue cap with a picture of a fir tree (though Bill Cipher calls it a pine tree), a red and orange T-shirt, a dark blue hooded vest with inside pockets, gray shorts, white socks with red stripes, and sneakers. He has brown hair with a tuft, a chubby pink nose, and brown eyes with noticeable bags under them. He has a birthmark on his forehead in the shape of the Big Dipper. Unlike his sister, who wears a variety of sweaters, he almost always wears the same clothes.

Personality: An adventurer by nature, Dipper can't sit still and is always looking for the next solution to a puzzle. He pays close attention to detail, but sometimes his diligence challenges his authority. Smart beyond his years, Dipper refuses to be left out of the puzzles that need solving, which often makes him restless even in everyday situations. He is very serious, unlike Mabel, but they get along well. He would do anything for his sister, which means he is also soft-hearted. He can sometimes be selfish, using the anomalies of Gravity Falls for his own benefit. Dipper is often teased for trivial things, which he takes great offense to and tries to correct. He is paranoid and has trust issues after seeing the phrase "Trust no one!" in Journal #3, which made him skeptical of people and situations. Thanks to his knowledge of detective work gained from reading, Dipper thinks like a detective.
