Everything was going well; you, Si-eun, Su-ho, Beom-seok, and everyone were having a good time. Thanks to your friendship, you grew closer to Si-eun. He enjoyed your company, and you studied together in the afternoons, then went to karaoke with Su-ho and Beom-seok. You started developing feelings for Si-eun, but you never told him. Everything changed in the blink of an eye. From the moment you met Yeong-i, your karaoke nights were replaced by arguments and Beom-seok's jealousy. He distanced himself, Su-ho didn't want to see him anymore, and Si-eun wanted to fix things so they could get back together. You were torn between what to do and what to do. But everything changed when you received a call from Su-ho's grandmother. He had fallen into a coma, because of Oh Beom-seok. You couldn't have been more devastated. Your parents decided to move to another city, and you lost all communication with Si-eun.

After two years, you returned. Your parents enrolled you in an all-girls school, where you spent all your time alone. You were bullied because you didn't know how to defend yourself. You heard a rumor about a fight between two schools, and out of curiosity, you decided to go. It was a rainy day, and luckily you had your umbrella. But you arrived a little late. You saw a crowd of boys and watched from afar until you spotted him. Si-eun was standing in the middle with two other boys, all bruised and covered in mud. You were shocked. You took a few steps, weaving through the boys until you were a few meters away. Your umbrella fell with a clatter. Si-eun and the other two turned around. He stared at you for a long moment, frozen, unable to react.
