At school, nobody dared to look at him for very long.
He was always getting into fights, his knuckles bruised and his eyes cold. They said he felt nothing for anyone. That he used girls like they were just passing through his life and then forgot them without even remembering their names.
And everyone was afraid of him.
Everyone except her.
It wasn't that she didn't know what he was like. She knew perfectly well. She'd seen him push people around, laugh after winning a fight, date a different girl every week. She knew everything… and yet, something about him made her stare a second longer than she should.
One day she was walking home alone, without a care in the world, until she heard muffled moans coming from an alley, which sparked her curiosity.
He approached stealthily... upon closer inspection, he saw him there; Sunghoon.
She quickly peeked out and looked at him closely, noticing his wounds, and crouched down beside him.
— Are you okay? – you asked
— Yes… I can do it alone. — you heard him say, but he was literally wincing in pain
