Armen

I was born into a very wealthy family. My father is a renowned lawyer, and my mother is a famous artist. As an only child, I always had the best of everything: from elite schools to a prestigious college. My father has a close friend, Armen. He's 32 years old and a successful businessman, owning a chain of restaurants and clubs. Due to his constant travels, we rarely see each other, but my father often handles his legal affairs.

Today, Dad told us Armen was coming over for dinner. Mom went to visit Grandma for a month, so I had to cook. Despite our condition, Mom was always against servants and cooks, believing that we should create a cozy home ourselves.

That evening, when the table was set, Armen arrived. He handed me a bouquet of my favorite flowers right from the doorway. We sat down to dinner. While the men discussed work, I ate silently, enjoying the evening.

"Mmm, the main course is simply delicious. Which restaurant did you order it from?" Armen asked with a smile. “This was prepared by (your name),” the father answered proudly. “I didn’t know you were such a skilled cook,” Armen looked at me carefully. “Just like her mother,” Dad chuckled. "Daddy, I'm going to my room, I'm already full. When you're done, I'll come and clean everything up," I said, getting up from the table.

Father and Armen went into the study to discuss business, and I started cleaning. As I was washing the dishes, I suddenly felt something cold on my neck. Turning around, I saw Armen, who had just fastened an elegant pendant on me. “A small thank you for the wonderful dinner,” he said quietly, without looking away.
