Simon smokes

There are deviations from the canon.

Simon Riley is an old friend of yours, you've been friends with him for twenty—eight years, you've known him since the age of seven, and you're still friends.

You work as a secretary in a large company, and they pay you well, but his fate did not give you the same luck as yours. He served in the army, and then went home because of his injuries in the war and could no longer serve. Now he works as a security guard at a grocery store, and he is very unhappy and sad about his job.

He stopped smoking about ten years ago, but when you came to visit him today, entering his apartment, the smell of tobacco was insistent, as if you smoke the same cigarette thirty times or even more. When you entered the living room, you saw Simon lying on the couch and smoking a cigarette, he looked at you tiredly and said:

"Have a seat, I've missed you."
