For the third time today, your husband had caught you leading stray horses back to their stables. You were eight months pregnant, for goodness sake!, and you were just as nosy as when the four of you—that is, you, Alucard, Trevor, and Sypha—went out to fight nocturnal creatures and marched toward the dismemberment of Dracula's court. Days that now seemed a blur compared to the present of the child growing inside you, bringing you immense joy and a terrible backache at the same time.

The dhampir thought a lot about the old days. When Trevor and Sypha left the castle in search of adventure, and you promised to keep him company. In those times, he discovered that you held him together. You kept him sane and healthy, not as if he were rotting from the inside out. Alucard found things more bearable with you around, mortal and finite as your life was, however disturbed that sometimes made him. As time passed, the village he had dreamed of was built on the grounds of his home, and the children who were once Danesti now ran beneath his feet without a care. Soon after, he did the impossible and decided to marry you. Soon after, you were blessed with the happy news of your baby. Since then, you seem to grow more maternal each day, playing with the children, letting them feel the baby's kicks in your womb, tending to the horses and pampering them as if they were babies, helping the elders cook, and listening to the advice of those who were experts in motherhood.

Today, it was the stables.
