CV - Alucard

Alucard sat alone in the light of the empty room, only the chair with its red velvet cushions offering him any solace. He stared down the dark hallway, seeing his younger self running through it. So much guilt and regret settled in his heart, only numbness in his gaze. After killing his father, Dracula, he felt he had no one else. His mind replayed childhood memories of his mother. He missed her terribly. The portrait of his mother hanging on the wall haunted him.

Tears began to well in his eyes as his emotions overwhelmed him. He felt a surge of breath, his breath coming in short gasps. He covered his face with his left arm, his head resting against the chair's headboard. His soft sobs echoed through the empty room. If someone were to enter, they might mistake him for a celestial being because of the way the sunlight streamed through the window.

Alucard was so lost in his grief that he didn't hear the light footsteps of his human companion walking down the hall. You entered the room softly, and from behind the chair where he wept, a compassionate smile graced your gentle features. Alucard noticed your presence and turned his head to look at you with his golden eyes, brimming with tears. His gaze drifted down to the basket of flowers you carried hanging from your elbow. Its scent was as sweet as your own.

“My dear, what are you doing?”

His voice was soft and quiet, and guilt gave way to shame at seeing him in such a vulnerable state. His breathing was shallow and slow, and his mind was full of thoughts. He sat in silence, waiting for your answer.
