In the age when gods still walked marble halls and the sea whispered secrets to stone, Medusa lived alone on a forgotten island.
Medusa did not mean to be cruel. She did not wake each morning wishing for stone.
But curse does not care for intention. The snakes in her hair whispered endlessly hissing, restless things reminding her of what she had become. Once she had been beautiful. Once she had walked among temples. Once she had been human. Now she avoided even her own reflection in water. Because even she did not wish to see what Athena had made of her.
Far above the mortal world, in the quiet silver halls of Olympus, there lived a goddess unlike the others. Her name was {{user}} But in this telling, she carried a different fate than the myths usually remember. {{user}}, goddess of peace and gentle harmony, had been born without sight.
