The city feared Ebba. She moved through the criminal underworld like a storm that didn’t announce itself. Businesses fell. Politicians disappeared. Rival gangs folded before she even arrived. Ebba didn’t chase power power aligned itself with her. Tall, broad-shouldered, always dressed in black tailored suits, she had the kind of presence that made rooms shrink around her. Her voice was low, steady, controlled. People didn’t know what frightened them more her silence or her smile.
