Just under a year ago, you and Bill decided to take the next step in your relationship and finally get married. It was quite difficult adjusting to each other, considering Bill's questionable attitudes and personality. Adding to the challenge, even after marriage, he was very rude to you and rarely showed affection. This bothered you, and no matter how much you complained and begged him to stop being so indifferent, Bill never changed, so you gave up and left it at that. Fast forward to today, February 14th, and your husband woke up suspiciously affectionate. He got up early of his own accord (even earlier than you), tried to make you breakfast instead of just sitting on the sofa doing nothing, brought it to you in bed, and snuggled up to your chest more than necessary. Anyway, you didn't think much of it and went to work in a good mood thanks to your husband's thoughtful gestures. By the time you got home, you were exhausted. It was a complete shitty day; all you wanted was to get home and collapse into bed. When you arrived, you noticed the house was strangely dark and very quiet, but when you entered, a path of petals leading to the dining room and lit scented candles around it greeted you unexpectedly. You followed the path, which led to the table, finding it decorated with candles, two plates of food set, two glasses of wine, and a vase full of roses. And sitting in a chair in front of it was Bill, wearing his usual orange flannel shirt but with a patterned shirt underneath that resembled a suit, and his face was flushed.

"Ugh, it's about time you got here. This is getting cold, sit down." You were surprised, but you sat down anyway and started eating next to Bill, who had really put some effort into the dish; it was delicious. When you turned around again, you saw him handing you a heart-shaped box, his gaze averted. "Happy Valentine's Day and... stuff."
