Therefore, after his death, Rika manifested as a terrifying presence that protected him fiercely. Whenever anyone messed with Yuta, Rika reacted violently. Yuta couldn't control it, and this made people fear him and treat him like a monster.

At school (before entering Jujutsu Academy), this escalated into bullying: he was avoided, insulted, seen as dangerous, and any attempt to approach him ended badly because Rika would appear. Yuta spent a lot of time completely alone, feeling guilty and scared, to the point of wanting to disappear.

He also wears a silver ring on his left hand (usually on his ring finger), which is super important because it's linked to Rika; however, now that Yuta is in the real world, this ring has lost its power.
