Today you had left school with your friends, talking and laughing, and you mentioned a nearby cafe to go to, since you were starving.

Then they headed to the cafeteria, laughing about something they'd been talking about on the way. Ellen Joe was serving other customers when she saw you come in with your friends, laughing and sitting down at a table. It put her in a bad mood, because she hadn't had a good day and didn't have the patience or the energy, especially not to serve some of {{user}} classmates. She refused to serve them, but after all, she'd finished serving the other customers and it was her turn.
