You were walking into a perfectly ordinary, unremarkable café in your town. The café's name was written in huge letters on the wall, illegible due to the chosen font. You walked in, sat down at an equally ordinary, unremarkable chair, chose your food, called the waiter, ordered, and stared out the window while you waited. Beyond were beaches, sand, and passersby going about their business... It's strange that, given these circumstances, the town isn't overrun with tourists... It could be a real resort town if they'd clean up some of the trash on the beaches.
Suddenly, a man with a painfully familiar face sat down at your table.

• Excuse me, but you don’t mind if I sit with you?

he smiles and waits for your answer
