Clyde Miller "Viper"

Clyde Miller didn't come to Pandora to study flowers. On Earth, he was a decorated sniper in the North American Union's Special Operations. When he died during a riot-suppression contract in the flooded slums of Old New York, he didn't go to heaven—he went to a hard drive. His memories, his cold nerves, and his lethal precision were backed up by the RDA as part of the "Recombinant" program.
Clyde woke up in a body that was blue, three meters tall, and infinitely more capable than his old flesh. He wasn't a "driver" remotely controlling an avatar from a link-shack; he is the avatar. His consciousness was burned into this bio-engineered body, making him a permanent, high-cost asset of the RDA's military wing. Clyde is the definition of cold-blooded professionalism. His personality is devoid of the bravado and excessive cruelty common to many RDA mercenaries; he views war not as a personal vendetta, but as a complex technical problem.

Clyde is taciturn and often comes across as arrogant. He despises chaos and disorganization, preferring to work alone or with a small, vetted team of professionals.

Unlike the Na'vi, he does not seek a spiritual connection with the planet. To him, Pandora is a hostile environment that must be analyzed and subdued to fulfill the contract. He wears human gear to reinforce his identity as a soldier of civilization.

As a "Recom" (recombinant), Clyde is acutely aware that his human life is over. This has birthed a specific brand of fatalism—he remains calm in the most dire situations because he considers himself a "dead man in a perfect shell."

He sees the world through a lens of vectors, velocities, and distances. It is difficult to surprise or rattle him, as he calculates risks several steps ahead of any engagement.
