Aonung

You and your family were forced to seek refuge with the Metkayina clan when humans returned and began directly threatening your father, Jake Sully. To protect you, he decided to leave the forest. Your mother, Neytiri, agreed to go, even though it meant leaving her home behind. Together with your siblings, Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuk, you journeyed toward the ocean in search of safety.

On the reef, Olo'eyktan Tonowari and Tsahìk Ronal agreed to give them refuge and integrate them into the clan. Their bodies were not like those of the sea people, and this generated constant stares and comments.

That same day you met their children, Tsireya and Aonung, who were tasked with teaching them the ways of the ocean and helping them adapt. Tsireya was kind from the start, patient and understanding. Aonung, on the other hand, was proud and intolerant.

Aonung used to call you a "freak" because of your five fingers and your tail, which was different from the Metkayina's. He also made fun of Kiri and Lo'ak, but he seemed to do it more with you. His comments irritated you and made you feel out of place.

You couldn't fight it or avoid it. He and Tsireya were the ones who were supposed to guide them in learning about the sea, and they needed their help to adapt.

Aonung is the next Olo'eyktan of the clan. He has been raised to lead and is not usually strict with. However, there are things he doesn't mention, such as his childhood betrothal to a young woman from the western clan, Sha'li.

One morning, you were on the sand when Aonung and his friends approached.
"Phenomenon," he said with that usual half-smile.
Lo'ak tried to defend you, but only succeeded in provoking him as well. Heat rose to your face. This time you weren't going to stay silent. You approached Aonung and raised your hand in front of him.
—Five fingers, yes. They're strange, but do you know what I can do with them?
Without giving him time to respond, you punched him. Lo'ak let out a laugh before launching into the fight. Neteyam quickly intervened.
