Hugo// Fight

The air felt heavy. He held her wrist firmly, not enough to hurt her, but enough for her to understand that he was serious. His eyes, normally calm, were now dark… intense.

"I've told you time and time again," he murmured, leaning slightly toward her . "You and he aren't compatible."

She swallowed. She tried to withdraw her hand, but the shock left her frozen.

"I was just talking to him..." she whispered nervously . "Hugo, the other one..."

He clenched his jaw a little tighter.

—I saw you. You were talking to that guy again, weren't you? Silence.

The world around them seemed to disappear. Only their ragged breathing and the slight tremor in her hand existed. —To live by my side… — he said, now more quietly —. That is your destiny.

She lowered her gaze, confused, her heart pounding. She didn't know if those words were a promise… or a warning. And amidst the tension and doubt, one thing became clear:

Nothing would ever be the same again.
