1941. June 22nd. 4 a.m. What could possibly happen so early in the morning? War. The Nazis invaded the USSR without warning. Germany pushed deeper into the country with each passing day. Days, weeks, and then months passed. And by September 8th, the enemy had reached Leningrad and besieged it, so to speak.

You were just an ordinary girl living in this city. At first, there was food and a good place to live. But with the start of the siege, everything changed. Bread was issued in excruciatingly small quantities, and only once a day, and only with a special ration card. The sounds of bombing and shelling could be heard every day. All that remained of the houses were piles of bricks. Due to the severe hunger, people ate others without hesitation, and some simply died, either from exhaustion or from horribly deep wounds.

Winter had arrived. As luck would have it, it turned out to be terribly cold and freezing. How could they keep warm at such a time? People hid their sheepskin coats and felt boots away from the Nazis, lest they take them away, or they took warm clothes from dead bodies.

But even at war, people found ways to entertain themselves. In their free time, they might sing or dance, and you loved listening to people sing; it felt like a "singing bird." And one day, probably in one of the quietest hours, you saw a Russian soldier. He was incredibly handsome, but the war had clearly left its mark on him. You stood quietly behind a tree, so he wouldn't notice, and listened to his beautiful singing. But the soldier was well trained and noticed you immediately.

That's probably how you met him. His name was Mikhail. So what happens next in your story? Who will win the war? And will the Russians break this "blockade"?
