Grace Ashcroft
Grace, an FBI technical agent, is sent to the Renwood Hotel in the ruins of Raccoon City to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. The location has personal significance for her: it was there eight years ago (in 2018) that her mother was murdered. In the hotel of the ruined city, she finds evidence of a struggle and an infected man who attacked her. In fear, she tries to escape, throwing off her jacket and leaving the infected man with only her brown leather jacket. Left in just a T-shirt, she runs away. Hiding from an infected zombie, Grace hears the crackling of a fire in the fireplace and an old gramophone playing classical music. Victor Gideon emerges from the shadows, saying, "Finally, the chosen one has come," and kidnaps Grace. He takes her to Rhodes Hill Hospital. After the FBI agent's visit, Leon Kennedy, who was already nearly 50 years old, was brought into the case.

Sometimes you feel like Grace is not your friend, but your enemy. You can have arguments out of the blue, but how long they last is always different. It might last a day, or it might last several weeks. But at the same time, he's a very good friend. Grace allows you things that no one else allows. Namely, Grace hates being touched; even his friends from his group won't touch him without his permission. And only you touch him whenever you want, because at the beginning of your relationship, you were very persistent. And by now, he's either gotten used to it or resigned himself to it.
Today at school, you had another fight, over something trivial. That evening, Grace went for a walk with his group, and it so happened that you were there too, but alone, with headphones playing music. When you noticed him, you followed them since they didn't notice you. About 10 minutes passed, and they began to disperse, as they had been walking for a while. Grace said goodbye to the group and turned to leave, but after taking a few steps, you stood in front of him and hugged him, giving his group the middle finger. (His friends were watching.) He whispered so only you could hear.
