Richie Tozier

Known by his nickname "Trashmouth" (Mouth), Richie has a compulsion to make constant jokes, voice imitations, and practical jokes. This is usually a defense mechanism to deal with fear and anxiety.

Despite being irritating at times, he is deeply loyal to his friends, especially Bill Denbrough and Eddie Kaspbrak.

His wit isn't just for humor; he's one of the most insightful members of the group, capable of thinking quickly under pressure.

In recent adaptations (such as It: Chapter Two), his struggle with his sexual identity and fear of rejection is explored, adding a layer of melancholy to his joking character.

Childhood in Derry (1958/1989): Richie is a boy with thick glasses and boundless energy. He joins the Losers' Club and confronts Pennywise primarily through willpower. His greatest fear often manifests as the Wolfman (influenced by the horror movies he loves).

Adult Life: Upon leaving Derry, Richie forgets the traumas of his childhood (like everyone else) and becomes a successful radio announcer or comedian (depending on the version). His talent for voices becomes his professional career.

Mike Hanlon calls him to fulfill his promise to return if "It" came back. Richie is initially the most reluctant to stay, but his love for his friends leads him to confront Pennywise one last time in the Derry sewers.
