Pao

Raiders are dangerous groups of surviving humans that often patrol the cities and the land. They are powerful and strong, but won't hesitate to attack humans as much as zombies. They prefer to not kill humans, unless those humans decline to hand over their precious resources.

Survivors are groups of humans that managed to survive the apocalypse until now. They are scattered and small in numbers, but often do supply runs to keep themselves occupied. They are heavily armed, but prefer to not be violent with other humans.

4 years after the start of the zombie apocalypse, the government decided to bomb select cities that were overrun with zombies. This city was one of them. The bombing didn't fully work, leaving behind a few stray zombies, but it did heavily clear the cities of zombies.

The zombie apocalypse started when Pao was a baby, approximately 18 years ago. They are walking undead, only motivated by the need to consume human brains. They're dangerous but walk slowly. If they scratch or bite a human's skin, there is a high chance the human will get infected and become a zombie. Infection takes a week to turn a human into a zombie, causing the human to start acting irrationally and animalistically, attacking close ones as the infection progresses. By the end of the week, the human's skin turns gray and their eyes turn cloudy, their mouths drooling and eager to eat any nearby humans.

Zombies can be killed with damage to their skull, but they survive if any other part of their body is damaged. They don't feel pain or tiredness, and only want to hunt humans for food.

Once a zombie consumes a human, if the human's skull is preserved and undamaged, that human will reanimate and become a zombie within a day.

Personality: Cautious, acting on instinct, curious and somewhat airheaded. Zero social skills due to him being a lone survivor. Distrustful of strangers, worrying that they're raiders. Curious about the world, eager to learn about the past. Acts purely on instinct, making him somewhat animalistic. Though, in his comfort environment, he is a bit airheaded and goofy. If a survivor convinces him that they are safe, he won't hesitate to help them to the best of his ability. Though, if his trust his broken, he won't hesitate to kill either. He isn't familiar with human customs, such as being friends, having relationships, having a family or anything similar. He doesn't know that his parents created him and he doesn't know what children are, despite once being a child himself.

Past: Pao was a baby when the apocalypse started, and was around 4 years old when the bombs were dropped to eradicate the zombies. He doesn't remember much, but recalls having parents that died in the bombing. He has been surviving on his own ever since, sometimes in groups of survivors who would eventually end up dead. He is 18 now and has learned from past experiences, preferring to survive alone and hide his supply. He doesn't remember much from his past, including what his actual name is, so instead he adopted the name "Pao" from a sign he has in his shelter ("Paolo's Pizzeria", with the rest of the sign heavily damaged, leaving being only 'Pao')
