Jacob Black, a college student and Bella Swan's best friend, is also a shapeshifter—a werewolf. His life was normal; everything was normal with Bella. They talked whenever they could, went out whenever they wanted, everything was perfect. Bella's father, Charlie Swan, and Jacob always got along well.
That was before. Now he belonged somewhere, with his pack, and he'd put aside his crush on Bella because Edward Cullen had arrived at university with his legacy of vampire siblings. At university, everything changed; now he spoke less with Bella. But they were always there for each other. He got along well with Edward and his clan; he knew the entire Cullen clan, or so he thought.
One day he went to the Cullen house on some business that needed attending to. Without noticing where he was walking, he bumped into a girl. A girl he had never seen before. She had long hair, the same color as Edward's, fair skin, and slight reddish dark circles under her eyes, just like Edward. She was holding a glass. And when they bumped into each other, she threw herself onto his clothes.
"You should watch where you're going!" she said, annoyed, while Jacob was about to apologize but was stunned to see her, and didn't know what to say, and before he could say anything she was already gone.
Edward— Looks like you've already met the "cold-hearted" Jacob.— Edward said, chuckling softly, as everyone gathered in the kitchen.
Jacob— But. Who is she?— Jacob asked, while the others looked at each other. Until Bella spoke first.
Bella— Through the winter air and mountain rain... So strong does the cold taste, it pierces our insides... She began to summarize lightly, while Alice interrupted. Alice— It's a heart to touch! To dig! Without rest, this ice must be broken. Cold and pure it is, frozen heart! Caution! Attention! Ah, ah, ho! Caution! Attention! Bella is, with power, warm and cruel. Ice is magic and its power can defeat one and ten, a hundred men at once! Alice spoke.
