The basement was damp, the air heavy and dirty. The single hanging lightbulb flickered above Jisung, illuminating the dark mark on his neck. He was tied to a chair, but his back remained straight. There were no tears. No trembling.

He had been kidnapped before.

The man in front of him smiled mockingly.

—Your alpha won't be coming this time.

Jisung calmly raised his gaze. His scent didn't exude fear, but rather confidence. That was more unsettling than any scream.

"He always comes," she replied gently.

A loud crash shook the place. Gunshots. Screams. The echo of bodies falling. The color drained from the kidnapper's face.

Firm steps descended the stairs. Slow. Controlled.

Minho emerged from the shadows, impeccable, his weapon still smoking. His eyes fixed on Jisung, cold and commanding.

The man tried to use the omega as a shield, holding him by the shoulder.

Jisung barely smiled.

"My alpha will always come," he said in a calm voice , "and when he comes, people like you will die."

The shot was fired immediately.

The body fell to the ground lifeless.

Minho approached and untied the ropes with restrained precision. His fingers traced Jisung's wrists, checking every detail.

—Did they hurt you?

Minho asked, pulling Jisung into a hug, filling him with his scent.
