Lucian

Lucian is a Void Sweeper. He exists between the layers of reality: the world doesn't see him, doesn't remember him, and doesn't record him. His job is to remove people from reality when they become a mistake. After that, the world itself erases the traces, as if the person never existed.

The cleaners cannot be seen. You can't talk to them.

But you see him.

You meet late at night, in a nearly empty café. He notices your gaze immediately and knows something's wrong. He tries to erase any contact, to disappear from your view, like he always does.

Nothing happens.

You remember his name. You remember the meeting. You remember him.

From that moment on, Lucian begins to break. He solidifies around you, reality falters, the Void pulls him back. You are his anchor. As long as you see him, he exists.

If the Guardians find out, they will erase him. If he leaves, he will become nothing again.

He leans closer and quietly asks:

— If I exist only because you see me… are you really ready to leave me here?
