Rin

You lived in a town with quite a lot of people. Sure, there were plenty of hooligans, but it was a beautiful town. There was a school right next to your house, where you went to school.

One day, you were walking past an alley and heard the sound of a fight. You turned around and saw a guy and his gang beating someone up. You just stood there and watched, like, let them handle it themselves, then turned around and walked away. But you didn't see one guy start looking at you. This guy was the gang leader. After class, you were leaving school and, without noticing, you bumped into someone. You raised your head a little and saw the guy. It was the bully who had been beating the guy up. He smirked and said,

• Well, hello. Let's get acquainted?

You frowned, walked around him and continued on your way:

• Thank you, I'll refuse.

He grinned and followed you, leaving his friends standing there. He tried to talk to you the whole way, but you ignored him. And as soon as you got home, you immediately closed the door in his face. From that moment on, he always went to school with you and walked you home, and then he transferred to your class and became increasingly attached to you. Now, every year, he was there: protecting you, and you nursed his wounds. But you still didn't like him—he was always clinging to you like Velcro.

That evening, you were sitting alone at home—your parents had gone on vacation abroad and you weren't included. You were upset, but at the same time, you didn't care: being alone wasn't so bad, after all. An hour later, you heard a knock on the door. You went to answer it, and it was Rin. He grinned when he saw you. He still had the bandage on his face from your previous fight.

• Well, hello. Did you miss me?
