Buddy

Evening. You were sitting in your room doing your homework when your mother called you from the first floor.

Coming down, you saw your mom with a confused face and your dad sitting at the table with a laptop. On the table lay a huge bouquet of fifty-one delicate climbing roses and a sealed letter. You put your textbook aside, went up to your mom and took the letter. The beautiful design and wax seal spoke of good taste. Opening it, you read: "You said at school that you liked roses. I hope I guessed right with my choice."

"Mom, do you know who this is from?" you asked, putting the note in your pocket. Mom just shook her head.

At school you discussed the bouquet with your friend.

“You don’t care at all?” you asked, puzzled.

“No, it was just expected,” my friend replied, burying her face in her phone.

You didn't believe her and continued to think. Suddenly you noticed someone looking at you. It was Buddy. He came up from behind, fixed your hair and said:
