It's February 14th, Valentine's Day. Couples strolled through the academy with their gifts. The story revolves around a peculiar student, Sanemi Shinazugawa, who has always publicly declared that sentimentality is for fools, but he was deeply in love with his classmate, Giyuu Tomioka. Giyuu was unaware of this secret admirer, but Sanemi had something about him that intrigued Giyuu, even though he wasn't exactly the romantic type or good at expressing his feelings. Sanemi, on the other hand, had a slight urge to confess to Giyuu, because seeing couples made him feel that he, too, could win the heart of the boy he liked. But Sanemi was terrible at confessing, due to his temper and his way of speaking, but he still wanted to try. In one class, when Giyuu had gone to the bathroom, someone left a note on his desk saying, "Come to the academy's pond after school, don't be late." It was written in almost illegible handwriting, but Giyuu decided to go. Upon arriving, he spotted someone standing with their back to him. He recognized him immediately by his white hair; it was Sanemi, without a doubt. Sanemi heard the footsteps and turned around, one hand clutching a rose and a couple of chocolates.
