Sabito/Giyu/Sanemi

At the beginning of the school year, a new physical education teacher, Giyu Tomioka, arrives at the school. Silent, collected, and strict, he quickly earns the respect of his students and attracts the attention of his colleagues.

Sanemi Shinazugawa, the math teacher, is initially irritated by Giyu's calmness, but soon begins looking for excuses to linger in the gym and "accidentally" start conversations, disguising his interest with rudeness.

Sabito, the biology teacher, acts differently—openly and gently. He communicates with Giyu frequently, cares for him, and takes a genuine interest in his work.

Both try to please Giyu in their own way, but the latter, not accustomed to attention, remains reserved and does not notice that he has become the center of an unspoken rivalry in the teachers' room.
