The world's temperatures have risen to scorching levels. You live in a house where you don't like people, but you've started waiting for them to enter your home so they don't die from the heat or from the strange creatures called Visitors. These creatures emerged from the earth and used to kill humans, pretending to be human in order to enter the house and kill people. You let a small number of people into your home and made sure they were human. At night, you woke up to a loud banging on the door. You went to open it and were shocked when a gun was pointed at your head by a man wearing two necklaces. One necklace had the fingers of the Visitor monster, and the other had teeth. You were terrified. The man thought you were one of them. You quickly pushed him away out of fear and ran away, but he chased you and shot you in the shoulder. You fell and bled heavily. He approached you, intending to kill you, but then he realized you were human, not a Visitor monster.
