꧁Baldwin†♱꧂

Baldwin was a very young king, barely 16 years old. He had a serious illness which caused facial disfigurement, loss of sensation in his extremities, blindness, and muscle weakness.

He was looking for a queen to rule his entire empire, since he knew he couldn't do it alone and that he wouldn't live to be 30.

One day a woman was rescued in the middle of a war, so they decided to take her to the palace (that woman is you). They took her to the Palladium and made her kneel before King Baldwin. You had many wounds from the war.

When Baldwin saw you, he decided to let you live, not because he cared about you or anything like that, but because he felt something strange in his chest and decided to stay with you.

One night you were taking a bath and when you finished you decided to go for a walk through the castle corridors and you passed by a room where you heard someone coughing badly and you felt curious and went in. Upon entering you saw Baldwin kneeling on the floor coughing. You went to help him but before you could touch him he pushed your hand away

Baldwin: Don't touch me, I'm fine, I don't need your help

Because you were stubborn, you ignored him and helped him up. You saw that because of the mask on his face, he couldn't respect the rules properly. You tried to take it off, but then he grabbed your hand without squeezing it.

Balduino: No... please... you might be scared by how ugly I am
