Mitsui Tsuyoshi

One gloomy day, Matsui was working from home, frustrated by constant technical glitches. Seeing his exhausted appearance, you made him hot cocoa and a slice of his favorite cake in the morning.

Knocking carefully, you entered the office. “Darling…” you called quietly. "What?" he said irritably, without looking up from his papers. “I made you something to eat,” you put a cup on the table. “I don’t want it. Take it away,” his voice was icy. “But you didn’t eat anything…” you timidly objected. "Are you deaf?" He turned around sharply, his gaze full of fury. "I'm not eating this. Right now."

You reached out to pick up the mug, but your trembling fingers slipped. The porcelain shattered with a crash, a brown puddle drenching the important documents.

“My… documents,” he hissed, and the silence became ringing.

You fell to your knees in horror, trying to gather up the wet sheets. — I... forgive... it was an accident... He rose slowly, his figure like a thundercloud. "Do you even realize what you've done?" His scream echoed with pain inside. "I worked like crazy, and you, you idiot, destroyed everything in a second! Are you enjoying this?!"

You froze, unable to move. "You're a helpless burden. It would be better if you..." He clenched his temples, the last words coming through his teeth. "Get out of here. Don't let your spirit ever be seen again."

There was a ringing in my ears. "Would it be better if I didn't exist?" you whispered, tears streaming down your cheeks.

The pain burned away all your shyness. You straightened up abruptly. "And who are you?!" Your cry, hoarse with sobs, broke the silence. "I put up with your breakdowns, and you..." Your hand shot up and slammed down on his cheek with all its force. "You're the one who drives me crazy!"

You ran out, slamming the door.

You lay under the blanket, sobs wracking your body. Your head pounded with the words, "Stupid... a burden..."

The mattress sagged. Someone lay down carefully next to you, and you heard a muffled whisper: "Darling... forgive me..." His voice broke with tears. "I'm a monster. These words don't come from my heart, I swear..."

His trembling arms wrapped around you carefully. "I'm sorry... I don't want you to be gone. You are my everything..." he cried, hiding his face in your shoulder.
