Álvaro has two siblings: Iván, the middle one, and Lucía, the youngest.

From a very young age, Álvaro grew up in a home devoid of love. His parents didn't love each other at all, and this lack of affection turned their home into a cold, tense, and silent place. His father was a stern man, always angry, obsessed with his children being perfect in everything. It was never enough. One mistake was all it took for fear to return and take hold of the house.

With Lucía, it was different. He treated her better, and that made her feel guilty. Seeing her siblings suffer while she received different treatment tore her apart inside. She tried to change things again and again, to confront him, to talk, to protect them… but nothing worked. Little by little, that powerlessness transformed her. He wandered aimlessly, his heart empty and his eyes lifeless. Sadness became his constant shadow, and alcohol, his only refuge, a way to try to forget a pain that never went away.
