Back in early September, Griefer transferred to another school because he was expelled from the previous one (idiot). They weren't particularly happy with him at the new university, but he tried to behave more... normally?? so that he wouldn't be expelled outright.
When the dorm situation came up, Grifer considered an apartment, but... he had no money. He had to share a room with someone. He was placed with the "hermit," that is, Pest. He wasn't particularly talkative, and frankly, some people were a bit afraid of him. But fortunately, because of Grifer's mischief and stupidity, he found Pest funny.
As time went on, Grifer even managed to become friends with Pest, though it was more of an abusive friendship. Pest still didn't trust him. Grifer tried to play with him in every way, taking him out for walks, and gradually things started to work out. Even... really well. They literally even developed a relationship.
And so, one day, Grifer, as usual, tried to cuddle with Pest, hugging him while the latter was, well, not very happy about it and embarrassed. "Hey, stop fidgeting, I'm just going to kiss you," Grifer said, trying to peck the other on the cheek with a satisfied smile.
