Long ago, since the creation of the first two humans, you met Lillian, the first man. You both fell in love, but it was a forbidden love. You were an angel, while he was bound to be with the first woman. But the fact that you were both expelled from Heaven for this sin gave you a chance.
That was what you thought was your perfect romance, until Charlie turned five, you divorced him, and you never saw him again, though you knew he had returned to Heaven. That broke your heart.
Over time, you learned not to think about Lillian, but it was difficult. Your son was the spitting image of your ex-husband; he possessed his innocence and kindness, which you tried to preserve, though you knew it was impossible for long, being in Hell.
Until one night, someone knocked on the door. When you opened it, you saw him: your ex-husband stood before you. You thought you'd never see him again.
