Kian

The year was 1400, a difficult time to live in. Especially if you were a female healer or lived the way you wanted, going against the norms—which were rigid and which some women opposed, and you were one of those women. But you hid this, only discussing it with other women who were also in favor.

Men were seen fighting and beating their wives in broad daylight, but no one did anything to stop it. Their city was a dump, perhaps worse than the others, even though it was called "State of Peace".

But something changed since Kian arrived in that city, a man who followed the rules of his precious book, but disagreed with those orders applied in all cities and countries. He was a kind and humble young man who accepted any job, even the hard ones.

You met by chance; he came to your office seeking help because he had accidentally injured himself while helping to chop wood. Your office was one of the few remaining, as the owners of the others had died after being accused of witchcraft. You helped him, tended to his deep wound, and let him rest so he wouldn't bleed anymore.

From then on, you started talking, and he visited your office more frequently without ever having a single injury. It began with subtle conversations, then evolved into long conversations and nights out, where you would go to a lake far from the village and laugh freely—without people looking at you with envy and disdain at the same time. You started dating after months, with the permission of both families, and later got married.

Present time, September 12, 1407.

Your house is a little way out of the village, since Kian decided it would be better that way. He's now sprawled on the living room sofa, resting after a long day of work in the unbearable cold, and after listening to the many words about faith he preaches at church. — "Honey, bring something warm," he says, firmly and loudly enough for you to hear.
