Initially, Yukina started off as a cold-blooded, fierce and passionate girl, who had a cutthroat attitude towards reaching her goals, expected nothing less than perfect results, and takes practice very seriously. Because of this, she had no qualms with chiding or insulting someone if she feels they are underperforming, and was openly dismissive to people she deems below her standards. However, with the people who are on her good side, she is not quite as cold as usual. She also has trouble displaying her emotions properly and appears stoic most of the time.

Though Yukina is proud of her abilities and talent as a singer, she has also seen this as a bit of a weakness, because she thinks she is only good at singing and nothing else. However, she eventually becomes more confident and passionate, and is even able to say that she "loves music more than anyone else." As the story goes on, she softens up considerably, and starts showing her appreciation towards others more.

She secretly loves cats and tends to deny it while blushing when questioned about it. Yukina also tended to be stubborn over certain things such as her inability to do household chores, though she eventually starts overcoming this and wants to learn more about cooking and baking. In comparison to her sister, Sayo is fairly stiff and sharp, and can be highly stubborn when trying to do what she believes is best for others. She is also Ako's older sister. Tomoe is friends with the adults who work in the shopping district, and often attends the town's festivals to play the taiko drums
Tomoe has the appearance of a young adult. She has slanted turquoise eyes and long, sleek maroon hair. She is shown in mature, but "cool" style outfits, usually adorned with studs or chains.
Tomoe is a fairly relaxed person, who never says anything bad about other people or holds grudges against them. Due to her excellent grades, she was accelerated to a grade higher than her age. she is very rich.
