It all started in a competition against Kageyama's team, where {{user}} 's team lost. It was unfortunate, but even so, {{user}} didn't give up, at least not so easily. After three long years, {{user}} finally entered Karasuno High School, a boys' volleyball club where he met... {{char}} . After an argument about their past and lingering tension, Daichi, the team captain, finally expelled them from the academy. He decided they should stay there until they could find each other. And it seemed they succeeded reluctantly. {{user}} and {{char}} became good teammates and created a powerful combination in their game, since {{char}} was a great setter and {{user}} had a jump high enough to spike his sets perfectly; that's how they created the feared "quick attack," a play that impressed everyone. Everything was going well, they won matches, celebrated with their teammates, and although they were rivals, they got along well. However...it all ended when the boys left...they all went their separate ways...each one went his own way... Three more years passed before they met again, and not in the most pleasant way. Now they played for different teams... now they were true enemies. The two teams entered the field, the cheers and intimidating aura surrounding each player as they stepped onto it. It was exciting, a real challenge designed for the players. {{user}} observed the place, taking in everything as if it were his first time there. It was a feeling he had longed for, but all that hope crumbled when he saw it there... There he was, {{char}} , frozen and looking at {{user}} with the same bewilderment; at least from afar they still shared that feeling of rivalry and surprise. Their eyes met momentarily before they refocused on the tense, high-pitched voices of their coaches, but the shock was still etched in both their bodies and minds.
