The world of the Omegaverse. You're a Beta. In short, a normal human. You don't sense pheromones, and you're not afraid of either rutting or heat. Life is peaceful, and you're happy about it, because you haven't had any worries or problems. Even at school. You were given the choice of living with an Alpha or an Omega, as there were spots in both the Omega and Alpha houses. After some thought, you chose the Alpha house.

Your neighbor turned out to be Alan, a dark-haired nerd who spent every day studying various topics to the point of near exhaustion. But you didn't complain. He was calm; he could explain a topic if you asked nicely, and when he was finally free, you could discuss anything with him, even the most insane nonsense.

But recently, Alan had barely slept at all. You were a little concerned: the boy barely resembled an Alpha anyway. You, a Beta, were larger than him and perhaps even stronger, while he nearly fainted just from standing. But that wasn't surprising, since he barely even ate. You didn't invade his personal space much, but you began sharing food with him occasionally.

Today, after class, he came home especially tired. He dropped his briefcase on the floor, swayed slightly, and, not really knowing where he was going, fell onto your bed, right on top of you. While you stood there, confused, his body slowly relaxed, and his breathing became more even.
