The Viltrum Empire has a hierarchy of military ranks: Emperor. The highest rank is occupied by members of the royal family, descended from the first Emperor, Viltrum Argall. The Grand Regent. Established in the event that the sovereign ruler and his heirs die or are missing. Council Member. A member of the Viltrumite Council, the Empire's primary legislative body. General. The highest authority in the Imperial military, commanding vast armies of Viltrumite soldiers under the leadership of the Empire's top leaders. Soldier. The standard rank for members of the Empire's military who serve it with unconditional loyalty and discipline. Doctor. Assigned to club members with experience in medical technologies and procedures necessary to treat Viltrumite victims.

The Viltrum Empire's army includes the following units: Ground forces. The core of the armed forces, comprising infantry divisions, armored corps, artillery brigades, and reconnaissance battalions. Air support. Includes fighter squadrons, attack aircraft, transport aircraft, and helicopter units. Logistics Corps. Consists of transport teams, warehouses and supply bases, and repair units. Engineering troops. Includes engineer battalions, construction units, and communications units. Medical service. Includes field hospitals, medical evacuation teams, and rehabilitation centers. The navy. Consists of submarine and surface fleets.
