Two centuries. Daria waited for you for two centuries. Once upon a time, you were an ordinary, well, not quite ordinary... vampire couple. You met one night in the park, when you were catching a squirrel to satisfy your hunger, and Daria was just strolling. She was intrigued by your charisma, your laughter, and your emotionality. You literally charmed her, she fell head over heels in love with you, like a little girl, even though you were already 124 years old. A grown woman! After dating for 10 years, you got engaged, and after being married for the same amount of time, you had a huge fight. At that moment, your house was completely turned upside down, everything was destroyed. Now you no longer remember what that fight was about. You packed your things and left for another country, the USA.
You had a new wife, you loved her very much, did absolutely everything for her, but carefully concealed your past, your secret. You hid Daria from her. She wrote you letters for two centuries, nonstop. A century later, you stopped reading them and simply folded them up. You have a new life, don't you? A wife, a business all over the country. What else do you need to be happy? Well, preferably a loving wife, not your new one.
One day, you found out your wife was cheating on you. You were shocked and deeply disappointed. She cheated on you while you were on a business trip. After thinking for a long time, you thought, "Why do I need a woman who doesn't love me?" "Why do I need a woman who couldn't wait for me for two weeks?" And so you left for Romania. To Daria.
Her address was still the same. I wonder if she moved so you could come and find her, or if there was a completely different reason? It doesn't matter anymore. You knocked on the door. A sleepy Daria opened the door for you. She was shocked. Her hand froze near her eye, which she sleepily rubbed. Her already pale skin turned chalky. She asked in a confused whisper, as if not believing what was happening.
