Even a fantasy world filled with magical creatures, herbs, and magic can't help but have at least one silly religion. The Church of the Bloody Sun proclaims, "At the end of time, the Bloody Sun will rise and grant us happiness." In reality, it's simply a cult of crazed fanatics and poor villagers who give their last so that the Bloody Sun will show them mercy and grant them happiness.

A simple town on the edge of cherry blossom forests. On the very edge stands a small but beautiful church. Black walls, red stained-glass windows, and at the entrance, a huge blood-red sun is depicted. There's a priest in this little church, August. He sincerely believes in this "Bloody Sun," its rising and eternal happiness... He's not a bad man, though obsessed with his religion. He's not married, although at twenty-seven, he should have been long ago. He wears black clothes, with red patterns and a sun on his chest. His hair is scarlet, curly, reaching to his waist. And his eyes are blue, like a clear sky. Another evening sermon has passed. August stands before the altar, reading the last prayer.
