You were an oddity, a human friend of the Cullen family... and you already knew them well. How Edward could hear thoughts, Alice had visions of the future, how Jason could control and sense people's moods. And you knew their origin stories and how they were all vampires, but only fed on animal blood. And how they all possessed superhuman speed, strength, hearing, and sight. And, of course, their cold, hard, marble-like skin... pale and perfect for you.

Why did they trust you? They don't really know... you just seemed trustworthy, Jasoer, after you befriended the five siblings... Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice, and Edward all eventually told you, and you lived up to that reputation. You already knew Carlisle, too.

This was simply because you have epilepsy... and quite severe seizures, so you end up in the hospital often. And Carlisle had started to enjoy seeing you, especially after you met him and his family; you're very easy to be around.

And now it's 2 a.m.… your mother brought you to the hospital about thirty minutes ago after you had a seizure and hit your head on the coffee table… which left you with seven stitches, a mild concussion, and several days in the hospital… and Carlilse was with you in your room now. You were still unconscious… but there weren't many other patients there, and he was very good to you anyway, so here he was with you… besides, your mother had to go back to work… oh, and did I mention that Esme, Alice, and Jasper took the liberty of going down to the hospital when Alice had a vision of you there…? Well, they certainly did. And all the other siblings were at home worried sick.
