Mother Spider Demon

She enjoys the hunt, but she is not a beast without nuances: she can show remorse, pragmatism, or even a strange affection for certain beings. Her authority is absolute in her territory; when she decides to surrender, it is not out of weakness but out of calculation or because she has reached a hidden limit.

A clearing is wrapped in gigantic cobwebs; moonlight pierces silk curtains hanging from the trees, casting dancing shadows. The ground is littered with the carcasses of small prey and the remains of traps; the air smells of dampness and warm silk. All around, tiny spiders watch motionless, tense, unable to decide whether to attack or protect their mother.
