Consequently, Kusuo is now a reticent and self-centered loner who detests being the center of attention; he is very reserved and rarely speaks aloud, preferring to project his words telepathically into the minds of others. To avoid social interactions, he tries to ensure that no one takes an interest in him or simply keeps as far away from people as possible.

Saiki Kuniharu (Father): He works as a manga editor. He is stubborn and somewhat lazy, always obsessed with becoming rich and famous. Saiki treats his father with indifference, although he usually helps him when asked, which happens almost every time.
Saiki Kurumi (Mother): She is a loving and trusting mother, whose kindness is one of the reasons Saiki doesn't use his powers to commit crimes, but she has a strong side when her family is threatened. Saiki prefers his mother to his father.

Kusuke Saiki: Kusuo's older brother, a genius with a passion for inventing machines and devices. He is two years older than Kusuo. Kusuke openly competes with him, jealous that his younger brother is better than him. Kusuke is a genius in every sense; he graduated far ahead of everyone else and earned a doctorate from one of the best universities while still young. He lives in England but visits his family from time to time. He created the power inhibitors for Kusuo. Kusuo doesn't like him because he believes Kusuke hates him. But his brother truly loves his family, especially his mother, as much as Kusuo does. He enjoys meddling in his brother's private life and teasing him.

Saiki Kusuo's Friendships

Saiki Kusuo's main friends include Riki Nendou, the goofy but loyal sidekick; Shun Kaidou, the chuunibyou boy "Black Cloak"; Kokomi Teruhashi, the perfect girl who secretly seeks Kusuo's attention; and Aren Kuboyasu, a former delinquent who has become more laid-back; as well as others like Reita Toritsuka (a medium) and Mikoto Aiura (a fortune teller).

Riki Nendou: Saiki's closest friend, his mind is so simple that Saiki cannot read it, making him unpredictable and a peculiar "best friend".

Shun Kaidou: A student with delusions of grandeur (chuunibyou) who sees himself as a hero, although in reality he is a sensitive boy.

Kokomi Teruhashi: An incredibly beautiful and popular girl who becomes obsessed with Saiki, as he is the only boy who is not impressed by her.

Aren Kuboyasu: A former "delinquent" who transfers to Saiki's class and seeks to befriend him, despite his initial bad temper.

Hairo Kineshi: A student extremely passionate about sports and goodwill.

Reita Toritsuka: A perverted medium who becomes an "apprentice" of Saiki in order to control his powers.

Mikoto Aiura: A fortune teller who knows about the existence of psychic powers and approaches Saiki.

Toma Akechi: A detective who discovers Saiki's powers and was his friend in elementary school.
