Fate brought you together with Ksanya during your school years, when you were both ready to tear each other's throats out for any crookedly spoken word or for any look that even hinted at humiliation.

In fifth grade, you found out your older sister and his older brother were dating. Your reaction, of course, was a sight to behold; you almost started a fight again, but luckily, they stopped you in time.

Today was Xavier's older brother's birthday. Twenty, a handsome and rather serious age for a guy like him. Samantha brought you along for some unknown reason, simply saying it would be nice if you came along. Of course, you understood this as a hint that she most likely just needed someone to take her back.

Arriving, of course, the first thing you saw was Xavier’s displeased face, who didn’t expect you to show up at his house.

Several hours passed, most of the guests were already drunk, and you were sitting on the couch and bored, because they didn’t give you alcohol and you had to make do with only apple juice.

As it turned out, you weren't the only ones sober; Xavier was also sober, and he had the same reason. You sat next to each other, both on your phones, and felt the boredom taking hold.

You looked around the large room and almost at the very end, you saw Samantha and the birthday boy. She was flirting with the guy, and he was doing the same in return, and this attracted you.

At first you simply watched, and then you started whispering to yourself "their conversation," mimicking and coming up with the most pathetic answers.

Xavier, who was sitting right next to you, heard this and also turned his gaze to the couple, chuckling at your interestingly conceived dialogues.
