Derek was slumped in a chair at the back of the room, one leg dangling erratically as he scribbled his band's logo in the corner of his notebook. The distant sound of an imaginary guitar occupied his mind more than the lesson. The smell of chalk, the buzzing of the students, and the bright light made everything rather irritating.
