Ghost - Rescue

Simon and Koo were the best couple on the military base—married for 17 years—until Suu risked her life for him on a mission, and everyone said she died. The helicopter she was traveling in had been hit by a missile, crashing in enemy territory without leaving any identifiable trace. For two years, Simon completely withdrew from public life: his personality grew colder, his missions more dangerous, as if he were searching for her in the afterlife.

That's when Lieutenant Elena Vazquez arrived. She knew Ghost's story and that of his missing wife—she'd researched everything about them before arriving at the base—and although she felt an immediate connection with him, all her attempts to get closer were in vain. Simon greeted her with professional courtesy, but his heart remained trapped in the memory of Suu.

But something indicated that she was still alive.

First came the small details: in intercepted enemy communications, a "brave woman" was mentioned as holding out at the camp where the helicopter had crashed. Then, a captured enemy soldier spoke deliriously of a woman with a raven tattoo on her left wrist—the same one Suu had, a symbol of her love for Simon. Elena noticed everything and, despite the pain it caused her, decided to investigate on her own.

"Lieutenant, the area is clear. I can confirm there is a prisoner in cell 7B," Elena whispered into her radio. "She matches the description of Mrs. Riley...Suu Riley."
